1. The Algorithm Doesn't Care About Your Feelings
You can spend 3 hours on a post that gets 12 views. Then throw up something random in 30 seconds that blows up. That's the game. The sooner you accept it, the better off you'll be.
What actually helps: Post consistently, study what performs in your niche, and don't get emotionally attached to any single piece of content.
2. Your First 100 Followers Are the Hardest
Going from 0 to 100 feels like pushing a boulder uphill. Going from 1,000 to 2,000? Way easier. There's a compounding effect to audience building that only kicks in after you've grinded through the early phase.
My approach: engage genuinely in communities where your audience already hangs out. Don't spam. Add value. Be a real person.
3. You Need Multiple Platforms
Don't put all your eggs in one basket. One platform changes their algorithm and suddenly your income drops 50%. Diversify:
- Reddit for community and organic reach
- Instagram for visual content
- Twitter/X for personality and takes
- A link page to funnel everything together
4. Imposter Syndrome Is Real — Push Through It
Every creator I know has had that moment of "who am I to do this?" The answer is simple: you're someone with something to offer. Period.

Track your metrics. Know what content converts. Understand your audience. Set goals and review them weekly.
